Some 45 minutes from Lisbon, in the village of Sao Gregorio which has a shop, bar, and several restaurants nearby.
Casa da Boa Vista overlooks some of the finest scenery in the area, lush valleys, mountain views, vineyards, fruit orchards and forests.
Ten minutes away (12 km) is the market town of Caldas da Rainha with excellent facilities including hypermarkets, banks etcetera. Tennis, a boating lake, many museums and the thermal spa and royal palace.
Twenty five minutes (20km) drive to the beach at Foz do Arelho, the mediaeval walled city of Obidos, the lagoon, and the shell shaped cove at Sao Martinho.
The area is excellent for sightseeing, cycling, walking and windsurfing. The major new golf complex is nearby at the Praia del Rey.
